Neelakantha Meditation as taught in Blue Throat Yoga, is a simple, effective practice that invites you to become more knowing of your highest wisdom, bliss, fulfillment, and love inside. Based on the fundamental principle of effortlessness, Neelakantha Meditation is easy to learn and works in harmony with the natural movement of the mind to move toward more: more happiness, more wisdom, more knowledge, more love, more clarity, and more fulfillment. Because it works in harmony with the mind’s natural operation, there is no harsh concentration, or manipulation of your mind in any way needed. Rather, the principle of effortlessness as the Highest First, gives access to the natural current that takes our awareness deep inside ourselves to the steady, blissful and restful state of deepest awareness.

This practice has changed the way I view and understand yoga, meditation, and all paths toward higher knowledge by giving me first hand experience of the inner current that moves inward to my depth. I’d tried other practices and read tons of books on the subject, and as a full time asana teacher, was exposed to some of the highest wisdom texts of the Tantra traditions. It wasn’t until beginning the practice of Neelakantha Meditation in 2009 with my teacher Paul Muller-Ortega that I began to understand what the texts were teaching, and my own inner landscape expanded through the regularity of the practice.

The practice has had the most amazing effects on my life, allowing me to live my yoga in ways I never thought possible, or only read in books. Through the practice I’ve established a connection to a place inside myself that guides me in all my actions and has helped bring transformation after transformation to the external circumstances of my life. I truly understand the benevolent intent in all things, and my center feels steady, present, and life feels more fully affirmed from the inside.
I’m thrilled that in July of 2017 I became an Authorized Teacher of Neelakantha Meditation as taught in Blue Throat Yoga, and can offer personalized instruction. Our satsang gathering is to clarify the intention of the practice, the theory of the practice, and the method of the practice.
No previous meditation experience is required, and this free satsang experience is open to anyone curious and interested in learning how this practice can provide the depth, steadiness, and regularity you may seek.
