Class Descriptions
Basics: Basics with Julie delivers the fundamentals that allow you to begin and sustain a regular practice. You need not be already experienced, athletic, flexible, or even entirely injury free. You’ll learn forms of poses, breathing technique, simple transitions, strengthening skills, use of props for support, and the basic pace of a yoga class. Good for anyone returning to practice after time away, brand new beginners, or anyone seeking a focused pace.
Align / Align + Meditate: Classes blend alignment technique into a progressive and dynamic sequence, often to a peak pose, using props for accessibility as well as greater challenge. A fusion of Align and Flow based practices, Julie’s vinyasa classes are truly open to all from beginner to seasoned practitioner. Align + Meditate classes will end with about 12 minutes of meditation.
Advanced Practice + Eye of The Tiger: Designed for the seasoned practitioner, the Advanced Practice offers exploration, nuanced instruction, and refinement of skills to venture toward Level 2/3 variations seldom practiced in public class. Class will include inversions, arm balances, deep backbends, deep forward bends and twists, as well as philosophy, pranayama, and meditation. Great for teachers and students who are interested in learning technique, are open to insight, and seeking a communal atmosphere for practice. Not recommended for beginners or people with current injuries. Come prepared to play! All teachers, trainees, grads, and seasoned students interested in TT are welcome, regardless of school, studio, method or style.
