Joy is a state sought by everyone, sometimes believed to occur when we have enough things, opportunities, “green lights”, attention, and even love. So often, joy is sought in this way externally, rather than internally realized as already part of the landscape of your being and the home of your heart.
The Goddess Lakshmi, a symbol of prosperity and good fortune, is also our natural inner state that is made up of joy. To foster a connection to abundance and joy that already stream through you, as you is to embody Lakshmi.
The wise seeker, it is taught, not only asks for the external manifestations of abundance and things that bring us joy, but for the conscious union with the essence of true wealth and happiness at its source. Lakshmi comes to life in the giving and receiving the gifts of your attention, your talents, your love, your warmth, your spirit, and yes – the gifts you offer at the holidays.
