Advanced Practice Summer Sessions at The Gowanus Experiment

Advanced Practice is a playful and powerful 2 hour group practice that explores the pathway to Level 2/3 poses with aim of building self sufficiency, focus, and depth. It’s all about the asana in an intimate setting, with detailed work to further your understanding and practice of challenging poses.
Home for the Summer Sessions is The Gowanus Experiment: a shared teacher-run space for healing arts in the heart of Gowanus. All classes will include timings, prop and partner work to build toward deep back bends, steadier inversions and twisted arm balances.
June 25th, 3 – 5pm: Backbends
*NEW DATE: July 30, 3 – 5pm: Inversions + balance
August 27, 3 – 5pm: Arm balances + Twists
Cost: $22 cash / $24 paypal
Space limited to 15, preregistration recommended
Teachers of any method and enthusiastic seasoned students with knowledge of bio-mechanics are welcome.
Highly recommended that students have no current injuries, are able to practice handstand at the wall, and urdhva dhanurasana (“full wheel”) unassisted.
